New Haven (WTNH) - The historic inauguration ceremony for Barack Obama is less
than a week away and a New Haven boy will be part of the festivities.

Eleven year old Donijah Collier is a sixth grader at Nathan Hale Elementary in New
Haven. He's one of 12 in all-boys choir who will sing for President-elect Obama.

The Ray Chew Youth Choir of Harlem will perform at two inaugural balls and a prayer
breakfast.

Donijah had to audition for the part and out of 35 singers, he got a call back.
Donijah found out the good news on Monday.

"I was jumping for joy! My sisters were jumping and screaming for me," Donijah said.

Donijah has his first rehearsal tonight then will head down to Washington, D.C.
